Join Art is Cool and Austin Black Pride on Thursday, March 30th from 6:30 to 9:30 for an evening of drinks, light bites, vibrant music, and visual gallery by some of Austin's most talented African American LGBT artists.

Media representation in regards to minority visual artists is limited in the realm of fine arts. Art is Cool provides meaningful community art showcases and concerts to provide exposure and representation to underrepresented artists including minority and women artists.

The exhibiting artists include:

Beth Consetta Rubel - Visual Artist (IG @bethconsettarubel)

Fum Fum Ko - Director/Producer Photographer/Filmmaker (IG @fumfum_ko)

Ashley Hicks - Photographer (IG @adzua3)

We will have live music performances by Austin's own:

TREE G Music (IG @treegmusic)

Chay Ceo (IG @chay_ceo)

Mama Duke (IG @mama.duke)

The exhibiting artists will also grace the stages to reflect on their culturally rich visual collections! Their amazing masterpieces represent pop culture, the deep south, stereotypes, lived experiences, self-reflexivity.

This event is free and open to the public of all ages! Refreshments will be provided.
